José Trinidad Marín, also known as Trino Marín, is most notably recognized for his connection to the late Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera. Born in February 1964, Marín married Rivera in 1984, and they had three children together: Janney "Chiquis," Jacqueline, and Michael. Their marriage, however, ended in 1992 due to allegations of domestic abuse and sexual assault, leading to Rivera filing for divorce. In 2007, Marín was convicted of sexually abusing his two daughters, Chiquis and Jacqueline, as well as Rivera's younger sister, Rosie. He was sentenced to over 31 years in prison without the possibility of parole. His crimes became widely publicized due to Rivera's fame, and the case garnered significant media attention. Despite his incarceration, Marín's story continues to evoke strong emotional reactions from both Rivera's fans and the public, serving as a somber reminder of the abuse Rivera and her family endured.
