Authentication with two factors and Apple ID recovery
By adding a password and a verification code that is sent to your trusted devices, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) improves the security of your Apple ID. Go to System Preferences > Apple ID > Password & Security on your Mac, or Settings > [Your Name] > Password & Security on your iPhone/iPad, to enable 2FA. Include your gadgets in the trusted list. Enter the verification code, your password, and your Apple ID to log in. In case you don't have a reliable device, create a code on any device that is logged in by going to Settings > [Your Name] > Password & Security. Visit iforgot.apple.com, input your Apple ID, and use 2FA, security questions, and email verification to confirm your identity if you can't remember your password. Create a new password and log in after verification. Your Apple ID remains safe and usable if you use 2FA and recovery.
